Hey, I'm back to start on the next new topic, i.e. to ease Indigestion and unblock Stagnation after stop bleeding in the TCM perspective.
Ease Indigestion and Unblock Stagnation
The issue centred around the infant irregular feeding and dairy indigestion. The common symptoms are:
- Diarrhoea
- Vomiting
The usual treatment formulas are as follows:
- Bao He Wan
- Xiao Ru Wan
- Zhi Shi Dao Zhi Wan
Without delay, let's dive in to analyse the first formula, Bao He Wan
Bao He Wan
I quote from the reference book given as right at the bottom end:
"Self doubling of food intake is going to hurt the stomach" unquote
So this is the cause and development of Bao He Wan and the like.
It is generally used for children indigestion covering the following aspects:
- Abdominal distension and pain
- Food accumulation
- Belching
- Aversion to food and vomiting
There are some explanations needed for belching in the TCM perspective.
By and large, the word "belching" comprises of 2 parts:
- Burping of gas from the upper digestive tract (necessary for one burp normally )
- Regurgitation of acidic semi-digested food with bad odour.
##one burp after each feeding indicating the food has went down the upper digestive tract.
These are the various herbs combined to form Bao He Wan:
- Shān Zhā, (Hawthorn)
- Shén Qū,
- Bàn Xià, (Pinellia)
- Fú Líng, (Poria)
- Chén Pí,
- Lián Qiáo
- Lái Fú Zi (Radish Seed)
Shan Zha or better known as Hawthorn would be the monarch's herb and the analysis will be covered in the next round of this is How to analyse the therapeutic functions of the various decoctions part 89 landing before the month ends.
I would like to leave you now so that you can digest this blog with more time. So until then, stay safe.
Best of all,
Xiong
