Hey, I'm back to discuss the discrimination between the 2 formulas as per normal:
- Qing Ying Tang and
- Xi Jiao Di Huang Tang
The Discrimination
At Ying Xue Level,
Qing Ying Tang is very suitable where the heaty infection further worsens and penetrates to this level, with the expected observation of seizure coupled with rashes. In other words, heat penetration hasn't infiltrate the blood system as yet.
And there are additional observations:
Where as Xi Jiao Di Huang Tang is applied to when these observations are more obvious :
- accumulated heat had scorched the blood collateral causing:
- blood vomitting
- epistaxis
- blood urine
- bloody stool (These are caused by the heat forcing blood to flow out of its own pathway. The collateral is further break into [yang collateral and the Yin collateral], yang type cause blood to flow off its path upwards inducing blood vomitting and epistaxis. And Yin type would cause bloody urine and stool in the downwards direction.
I'll leave you now so that you can link up this blog with the previous ones to digest it effectively. How to analyse the therapeutic functions of the various decoctions will continue then with another new formula.
Best of all,
Xiong
