Hey, I'm back to analyse the next formula which fall into Jue Yin level. Where about is Jue Yin? Just remember that it lies between Tai Yin(in front) and Shao Yin(inner back). It would be very interesting when we move into the analysis of Jue Yin meridian channels as time goes by. So, for the time being, at this stage the accumulated heat would combine with the wetness and turn into what TCM termed as Fire*** which will cause intermittent fever and the treatment formulas are:
- Bai Tou Weng Tang
- Yin Chen Hao Tang
- Gan Lu Xiao Du Dan
Literally, this means (fire)*** is penetrating from Qi to Ying-Xue region in the four stage of heat penetration; Wei-Qi-Ying-Xue.
Let's start with Bai Tou Weng Tang and would analyse the 3 decoctions one after another with the threshold established.
Bai Tou Weng Tang
It comprises of:
- Bai Tou Weng
- Huang Lian
- Huang Bai
- Qin Pi
Bai Tou Weng Tang encircles around a heaty:
- Dysentery
and it has to be caused by heat accumulated in the Zhong Jiao and termed as (heaty dysentery) in the TCM perspective.

Very obviously, Bai Tou Weng Tang would start with Bai Tou Weng as the monarch herb. Ironically, the herb look like the head of a white hair old man as the name implies. This is also a way to memorise the herb easily.
