touching on the next new formula:
- Huai Hua San
Today we are going to analyse the first herb in this formula, namely, Huai Hua which is off course, the monarch herb.
The reasons for selection of Huai Hua as the monarch herb:
- Using its cooling property and is Able to stop bleeding especially from the Intestine causing bloody stain in stool or dark red blood stain in stool which is of prime importance.
However, it is necessary to check on children who fall under the categories for Qi and Yin deficiency. Therefore it is very important to be well versed with TCM fundalmentals and please revise them published in my earlier blogs.
Caution
Please take note that Huai Hua San is Not suitable for Yin or Qi deficient patients and the former 3 formulae would be a better choice.

Huai Hua , which is the bud of the flowering plant called Sophora Japonica and only the bud is used.
Huai Hua is associated with the:
- Liver
- Large Intestine - meridian channels respectively

Huai Hua

Specific Properties
Next, I'll touch on the specific property of Huai Hua which is moderate cold.
Comtemporary treatment
It is found that Huai Hua can lower the blood pressure, and research to treat hypertension related symptoms are promising.
As a rule of thumb, it is very appropriate to apply:
(Ku Han Liang Xue Zhi Xue)
whenever Huai Hua is used.
