Hey, I'm back to bring you into a more critical pathological chapter, i.e.
- a convulsion due to sweltering heat accumulated is observed.
Immediately, our decision would be to Repress and sedate the convulsion.
Critical discrimination
We are now facing convulsion when the
- 1) sweltering heat (high fever cannot be Subdued)
becomes so severe that had penetrated the Ying Xue level (jue yin = liver meridian)so much so that convulsion would turn into
- 2) unconsciousness, or even seeing contraction and jerking of upper and lower limbs and in short time turn into seizures.
Pulse Reading
Amplitude: fast and tight; like the guitar string
Tongue colour: dark red _:-critical
We would use these three formulae one by one, namely;
- Ling Jiao Gou Teng Tang☆☆
- An Gong Niu Huang Wan
- Zhi Bao Dan
to Repress and resuscitate the situation on case by case basis and off course, apply Zhen Jing Xi Feng meaning
- Keep the convulsion in control and calm the penetrating wind in the TCM perspective.
We are now in the new chapter called,
Relief Shock and Resuscitation
The very first formula to be analysed in this blog would be:
Ling Jiao Gou Teng Tang
This is how to Analyse The Therapeutic Functions Of The Various Decoctions part 108.
As for the rule of thumb:
Apply (Liáng gān xí fēng zēng yè shū jīn.) whenever Ling Jiao Gou Teng Tang is used.
I'll stop here and let you have more time to digest them and not scary.
Best of all,
Xiong
