This is how to Analyse The Therapeutic Functions Of The Various Decoctions part 107

Hey, I'm back after a short break to kick start the comparison between the two formulae;

Zhu Sha An Shen Wan and

Ci Zhu Wan

Both are used to calm a frightened child with some other accompanied symptoms.

So, remember Zhu Sha An Shen Wan comprised of these 5 ingredients, namely;

  • Zhu Sha
  • Huang Lian
  • Dang Gui
  • Sheng Di
  • Gan Cao

We would talk about Huang Lian, the Chinese golden thread again, which is associated with the Heart meridian channel and is dedicated to cool the scorched heart's Yin.

Dang Gui would compliments and tonify the Yin with Sheng Di.

28 types of pulse reading

So, when and how to confirm that the Heart's Yin is so scorched and driedup is by taking the pulse reading.

The reading should be:

  • Amplitude: narrow
  • Speed : fast
  • Tongue coating: yellow and thick
  • Colour: red especially at the tip

The rest of the decoction that further cool the blood flow, eliminating the remaining heat that caused;

cardinal anxiety

and how the

Yin Blood became so much scorched by the intense heat, and all that's needed is to replenish the blood loss by invigorating the blood, had to be revised by browsing through the earlier blogs.

All these findings would suffice Whenever and where Zhu Sha An Shen Wan should be used.

Ci Zhu Wan

on the contrary, is applicable for Yin deficiency:

  • Observations like Tinnitus, blur vision are reasons caused by Liver and Kidney's Yin deficiency.
  • Complaints of insomnia and cardinal anxiety are caused by Yin deficiency.
  • On sighting of asthmatic breathing is also caused by overall kidney's deficiency.

Pulse reading

  • Amplitude: narrow and afloat
  • Speed: Moderate to fast
  • Coating: thin or none
  • Reddish at cheek bone

These appearances would confirm the  overall Yin Deficiency and Ci Zhu Wan is more suitable.

This is how to Analyse The Therapeutic Functions Of The Various Decoctions part 107 will continue in the next blog.

I'll stop here and let you have more time to digest them and not scary.

Best of all,

Xiong

This is how to AnalyseTheTherapeutic functions of the various decoctions part 106

Hey, I'm back to start with the analysis of the Ci Zhu Wan, with the only monarch's herb known as:

  • Ci Shi which is an ore mixture with magnetic effect.

The remaining 2 herbs were analysed earlier in May to July this year.

Nevertheless, the reasons of why and how they exist make it necessary to explain below.

  • ZHU SHA compliments Ci Shi to calm the frightened child in the shock situation as the minister's herb.
  • SHEN QU perform as Messenger's herb to prevent harmful effects from the Zhu Sha and Ci Shi thus regulating the whole decoction suitable especially for Yin deficiency.

It is always the situation whereby a frightened child with uneasy emotion is not the only observance, the complaint of blur vision, tinnitus  and insomnia are the differences in between the formula application.
