Hey, I'm back to continue on the analysis of the second herb found in the 6 minister's herb catergory of Su He Xiang Wan namely;



Bai Tan Xiang

This is how to Analyse The Therapeutic Functions Of The Various Decoctions part 137.



The reasons why Bai Tan Xiang is selected as the minister's herb which is further break into 2 parts as below:

1) it is a natural powerful regulative remedy for Air passage way blockage in other words, it could relieve pain because of it's capability to disperse coldness enabling a better Qi flow in the body in the TCM perspective.

2) relieve stomach aches due to accumulated coldness in the TCM perspective.



We are still within the perimeter of the above and not drift away. 

 


Bai Tan Xiang is commercially known as Sandalwood, is an evergreen shrub of the Santalaceae family. (Santalum Album in Latin)

It is associated with:  



Specific Taste

The specific taste of Bai Tan Xiang is pungent.



Specific Properties

The Specific Property of Bai Tan Xiang is warm.



Rule of the thumb: 

Apply Li Qi Tiao Zhong San Han Zi Tōng whenever Bai Tan Xiang is used
